I know this is new, I've never posted before. It seems like a lot of the people I know have had their own problems lately, so I didn't want to bug them. I just had to put my cat to sleep, and he really did/does mean a lot to me. But the thing is, I have no idea if I did the right thing, and it's killing me to the point where I'm having trouble sleeping. He was sick for a while and when we took him to the vet, the test results came back saying his kidneys were failing, and I didn't know what to do. My family sat down and discussed it, but it didn't seem to go anywhere except to put him down. There was a treatment we could have given him to make him last for another 4-8 months, but they didn't even consider it. Did I do the right thing?
